Sharapova didn`t reach WTA final
On Saturday Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova was defeated by French Ameli Moresmo in the semi-final game.
In first set Sharapova was ahead with score 3:0, 4:1 and 5:3 but at key moment her opponent managed to take Sharapova`s serve and win first set with score 7:6.
In second set Russian sportswoman looked very tired, made many mistakes and percent of first serve hitting decreased significantly. Moresmo, oppositely, demonstrated her skills and was in high spririt. Therefore, Ameli Moresmo winning semi-final game with score 7:6, 6:3 got a ticket to WTA Tour Championships final where she will struggle with her compatriot Mary Pierce for grand prize. The latter has won first world tennis racket American Lindsey Davenport with score 7:6, 7:6.
As a reminder, Sharapova won final WTA tournament in 2004 defeating American Serena Williams.
